It’s Official: Hyatt Place Vancouver/Metrotown Celebrates Its Grand Opening
On May 15th, 2026, we cut the ribbon at Hyatt Place Vancouver Metrotown, officially opening Mundi Hotel Enterprise's newest property in the heart of Burnaby.
We were joined by City of Burnaby representatives, Hyatt partners, Tourism Burnaby, community and business leaders, along with the hotel team who made this opening possible.
The hotel takes up the first 10 floors of the Highline Metrotown tower at 4498 Beresford Street, in space originally planned as offices. It has 159 contemporary guest rooms with floor-to-ceiling windows and city views. It’s right beside Metrotown SkyTrain Station and steps from Metropolis at Metrotown, so downtown Vancouver and the rest of the region are an easy ride away.
Guests can enjoy:
Free Wi-Fi
A 24/7 fitness centre
SoBu: The Social Corner
The Market for grab-and-go items
Pet-friendly stays
Daily hot breakfast and secure self-parking is also available.
A heartfelt thank you to our partners, our team and the Burnaby community for helping us reach this milestone. We can’t wait to welcome you.
Rooted in Community: Supporting the Royal Inland Hospital Foundation
At Mundi Hotel Enterprises, we believe the communities we do business in are the communities we’re responsible to. Our hotels depend on the people around them: our guests, our team members, their families and our neighbours. Supporting the places that support us is at the core of how we operate.
In that spirit, Ron Mundi, CEO, donated a $1 million donation to the Royal Inland Hospital Foundation in Kamloops. Royal Inland Hospital is the only tertiary referral hospital in the Thompson Cariboo Shuswap region and serves more than 225,000 British Columbians. It’s a place where our own team members and their families, and so many others, receive care.

This gift is one part of our ongoing commitment to the communities across Western Canada where we live and work. We’re grateful to the Royal Inland Hospital Foundation for the work they do every day.
